Our Materials
Ever wondered how your favorite shirt or comfy pants affect the environment? The truth is, clothes have a big impact, and it starts with the materials they're made from.
The usual suspects: cotton and polyester. Regular cotton needs a lot of water and chemicals, which harms the soil and water, and can even be bad for farmers. Polyester, on the other hand, comes from oil, which isn't exactly a renewable resource, and its production uses a ton of energy and releases harmful chemicals.
At True North, we're changing the game. We use better materials that are kind to the planet and still keep you comfy and looking good.
Organic Cotton
Imagine fields bathed in sunshine, not pesticides. That's our GOTS-certified Aegean organic cotton. It thrives without harsh chemicals, protecting soil, water, and the health of farmers who nurture it. And guess what? This gentle touch extends to you, with soft, breathable comfort that feels good against your skin.
Recycled Synthetics
When it comes to performance and functionality, we still need synthetic materials. They have high durability and stretchiness and, offer thermal comfort by transporting the heat and moisture from the body to the outside of the material. That's where recycled synthetics come in. We use materials certified by the Global Recycled Standard, giving new life to plastic bottles and leftover fabric. They're just as durable and stretchy as their virgin counterparts, but with a much smaller footprint. Think of it as high-performance with a conscience.
